    Jessica joined the group in November 2019 as a Research Associate in chemical synthesis, optical spectroscopy and imaging, jointly working with Prof Vilar (Chemistry). Her project encompasses the synthesis of platinum-based probes and application of fluorescence microscopy techniques to visualise G-quadruplex DNA.

    Miguel joined the group in  October 2017 as an ICB-CDT PhD candidate. His project explores how  membrane fluidity and organization depends on external stresses by using viscosity-sensitive molecular rotors. He is co-supervised by  Dr Brooks (Chemistry) and Prof Krams (Bioengineering, QMUL).

    Ion joined the group in October 2019 and is a Leverhulme Trust funded PhD student working on synthetic cells. His project regards the on-site assembly of the actin cortex in semi-synthetic cells to control cell mechanics and behaviour.  Ion is co-supervised by Dr Elani and Dr Brooks (Chemistry).
