IMPORTANT - IELTS CERTIFICATES

If you are an overseas (non-EU) student, in order to be able to apply for a presessional course, you will need to provide us with an IELTS SELT (secure English language test) certificate for a test taken at a UKVI- approved IELTS test centre.

We can only accept a UKVI-approved test report form for your pre-sessional application, so please make sure you inform the UKVI–approved IELTS test centre that you need this certificate and not the standard certificate.

Changing pre-sessional courses

If you apply for one of our pre-sessional courses and then decide to switch to a shorter course because your IELTS score has improved, please note that we may require a writing sample or Skype interview to confirm your level.

Other language tests

If you have taken an alternative language test, or if you need any advice about which course to apply for, please contact us at presessional@imperial.ac.uk.
