Filmmaker Ben Anderson will be explaining how to produce video content for social media.

With videos becoming some of the most important and powerful tools of communication, learn how to use video to amplify your messages, reach new audiences, potential research collaborators and key funders.
 
At our video session, Ben Anderson will be explaining how to produce video content to sit across various social media platforms, and making it work for a range of audiences, especially younger audiences.
 
You will have the opportunity to film a short one minute video and have feedback provided by Ben as well as the opportunity to ask any questions.
 
Ben is a filmmaker, producer, director and creator. Ben has previously filmed all over the world, from spending three months with Alaskan brown bears to wrangling snakes and spiders in Australia or working with World Cup-winning rugby talent and ex-special forces operatives in the UK. From wildlife films to sports (and a bit of everything else in between), Ben set out with the goal and want to make amazing films for clients that look great, tell fantastic stories and engage a viewer/audience.

Podcasting

2x award-winning podcast host Imriel Morgan on setting up your own podcast.

 Imriel will talk about includes podcasting and its benefits, how to raise your profile on podcasts and using podcasts to get your work out.

Imriel will be joined by Hayley Dunning, Research Media Manager for the Faculty of Natural Sciences and manager of Imperial’s podcast.  Hayley will be talking about the College podcast, how to get involved and how to launch your own podcast.

There will be a practical exercise and we would like you to send us a list of questions of things you would not like to answer in relation to your work.

Please send questions by Monday 16 August before 5 pm.
