When you access journals from the library search website over a remote connection, you'll get EZproxy-friendly results that will work straight away once you've logged in with your Imperial credentials.

EZproxy is a web proxy server that libraries use to give remote access from outside their computer networks to restricted-access websites that authenticate users by IP address.

How to access library journals remotely using a Bookmarklet

A Bookmarklet is a bookmark stored in a web browser that rewrites the URL of whatever page is currently being viewed into an EZproxy-friendly URL. It then reloads the page using this new URL. After logging in with valid Imperial credentials you will have access to this resource.

How to create a Bookmarklet

Install a Bookmarklet by creating a new bookmark and pasting the following code into the URL destination field:
javascript:void((function(){location.href='https://iclibezp1.cc.ic.ac.uk/login?qurl=' + encodeURIComponent(location.href);})());

Here are instructions for adding a Bookmarklet in Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari:
