Data roaming – Europe

All College mobile phones* (not including data-only connections) have O2 Travel activated as standard which provides users with 50MB of data as well as 120 minutes and 120 text messages per day for a daily cost of £1.66 (exc. VAT).

*excluding those that have the Worldwide Data Bolt-on

For more information, see the O2 website.

Data only connections (tablets and mobile broadband) are subject to O2’s standard EU data capping which provides 935MB of data per month for a maximum cost of £43 (inc. VAT).

If you require more data than the standard tariff provides you can be moved onto the heavy user option which will provide up to 2.6GB of data per month for a maximum cost of £120 (inc. VAT).

Data roaming – outside of Europe

By default, the standard data tariff is applied to all College connections which provides 50MB of data per month for a cost of £33.34 (exc. VAT).

Users that require more than this can ask to be moved onto the heavy user option which provides up to 200MB of data at a cost of £100 (exc. VAT) per month. However, for regular travellers there are a couple of data bolt-ons available which represent much better value for money in most countries:

The Worldwide 24 Data bolt-on costs £7.50 (exc. VAT) daily and provides 200MB of data per day in North America or 100MB in places such as China, Australia and South America. Please see the O2 website for more information on Worldwide 24 and how to add it to your connections.

For extensive travellers we recommend the Worldwide Data bolt-on which is a monthly rather than a daily charge. For £99 (exc. VAT) per month users will receive up to 2GB of data in Europe and North America and 1GB in many other destinations. Please see the O2 website for further information on the Worldwide Data bolt-on and how to add it to your connection.
