To connect to the Imperial-WPA network using a Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the AirPort tray icon and make sure that the AirPort wireless controller is on.
  2. Click the AirPort tray icon and choose the  Imperial-WPA network from the list.
  3. Enter ic\yourCollegeusername and password in the login dialog box.
  4. Tick the Remember this network box.
  5. Click Show Certificate and tick Always trust wireless.ic.ac.uk on the pop up box and click Continue. You will be asked to authenticate with your password.
  6. Click Continue again to finish.

You are now connected to the Imperial-WPA network.

To create a network profile manually, follow these steps:

  1. Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
  2. Select Network from the Internet & Network section.
  3. Select AirPort from the network adapter list.
  4. Click Turn AirPort on if it is not already on.
  5. Select Join Other Network from the Network Name dropdown list.
  6. Select Show Networks on the dialog box.
  7. Select Imperial-WPA once your machine has stopped scanning for available wireless networks.
  8. Enter your College username and password in the dialog box.
  9. Click Join.
  10. Click Apply.
  11. Click Show Certificate and tick the Always trust these certificates box if you get a message about authentication saying that the server certificate cannot be validated.
  12. Click Continue.

You are now connected to the Imperial-WPA network.
