High Throughput Computing
Our general purpose computer cluster ‘cx1’ satisfies the majority of research computing workloads ranging from myriad small runs, such as parameter studies, to long-running CPU intensive runs and small-scale parallel runs.
Individual jobs may use up to 24 cores and 256GB of memory and run for up to 3 days.
Jobs are run in a batch processing environment and familiarity with Linux will be required. If you are new to Linux, please attend one of our HPC Orientation courses.
Registered uses may connect to cx1 via SSH to login.cx1.hpc.imperial.ac.uk or a Jupyter notebook.
