Instructions for Skype for Business on Mac

Downloading and installing

To install Skype for Business on Mac, go to Microsoft's website and download the install file: Download Skype for Business on Mac

  1. Click the Download button.
  2. Click Save to copy the disc image file to your computer.
  3. Double click the PKG image file.
  4. Follow the on screen instructions.

 Setting up and logging in

To set up and log in to Skype for Business on Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Skype for Business icon on your Dock. 
  2. Enter your full College email address (c.smith@imperial.ac.uk) in the Email Address box.
  3. Enter your College password in the Password box.
  4. Click on Advanced Options
  5. Enter your username in the format IC\username
  6. Press the Sign in button. 

Your setup is complete.

To link your Skype for Business to your Outlook so that your meetings appear in your Skype, follow these steps: 

  1. Click on meetings in the left hand payne of the Skype window
  2. Enter your username in the format username@ic.ac.uk in the username box
  3. Enter your College email in the format username@ic.ac.uk in the email address box
  4. Enter your College password in the Password box.
  5. Press the Sign in button. 

your setup is complete
