COVID-19 latest updates

Face covering posterUpdated Tuesday 18 January 2022

Central and campus library buildings are open to current Imperial students and staff, NHS staff, alumni and students with pre-arrival status or who are taking exam resits.

You must wear a face covering at all times when using library spaces unless you are exempt.

Staff are available onsite to help you. For staffed opening hours see Our libraries. At the Central Library we have reduced our Librarian drop-in times to 10.00 - 16.00 and the Store Service is closed.

Only visit the libraries if you are scheduled to be on campus for teaching or research purposes, or are unable to study remotely. Use of Group Study rooms is restricted to one person only and the Group Study area at Central Library is for individual quiet study.

Capacity at all our libraries continues to be significantly reduced. A queuing system is in place at Central Library when the building is very busy so remember to take all your belongings with you when you leave. If you are unable to enter the building further space may be available in our GoStudy spaces.
