The Imperial College Alumni Association of Thailand held their Annual General Meeting in Bangkok on 10 September 2016, and elected new officers for the upcoming year. Seoul Summer Party 2016
"The event was very inspiring for the future of the Korean alumni association and the atmosphere was as great as ever. Next year, we hope to have even more alumni in attendance!” John Lee (MEng Aeronautics 2005) on the event he recently coordinated for the Korean alumni network.
On Saturday 3 September, around 50 alumni attended the group’s annual summer party at Hotel Prima in downtown Seoul. They heard presentations and news from the College, and had an opportunity to reconnect with their Imperial peers. Many thanks to John and the rest of the committee for their hard work to make this event happen, and for sending us these lovely photographs on our Facebook page.

On Friday 19 August, alumni in British Columbia, Canada, enjoyed an afternoon tea party at the home of Hooman Keyhan (MSc Civil and Environmental Engineering 2007), and his wife Elnaz.
MSc Statistics Class of 1984 reunite
This August, the MSc Statistics class of 1984 came back to campus for a reunion and were shown around their old department by current Statistics staff and students, caught up with each other in the Alumni Visitor Centre and saw how much Imperial and South Kensington has changed in 32 years.
Shanghai and Seattle
A Seattle sailing trip
This summer, the Pacific Northwest alumni group sailed the beautiful Lake Union in Seattle at their second event, generously hosted by an alumnus on his boat. The group have now appointed volunteer officers to look after the activities of the new network, including roles to steer the group’s communications and finances.
Senior Imperial staff visit Shanghai alumni group
Earlier this year, senior Imperial staff including Provost Professor James Stirling, Associate Provost Professor Maggie Dallman and Director of the Data Sciences Institute, Professor Yike Guo met members of the Shanghai Group for dinner to talk about the alumni group development in East China.

Hong Kong Mentoring Programme
There are currently 84 enthusiastic alumni mentors helping Imperial undergraduate students by providing career-related and personal development advice. The mentors are active in STEM+M (Management) industries and their related fields. The programme maintains its focus on the requirements, features and development trends unique to Hong Kong.
Alumni meet in China
Director of Global Development Reid Ching and Director of Alumni Relations Nicola Pogson met with over 170 alumni and friends in Shanghai and Shenzhen and enjoyed reconnecting with the local network, hear an update on the latest news from Imperial, and to share their memories of the College. Many of our guests shared their interesting stories as part of our #OurImperial campaign.

President Gast meets alumni and friends in Dublin
Around 50 alumni and friends of Imperial met President Gast in Dublin on Wednesday 13 July 2016, at the first College event in Ireland. Alumni, friends, offer holders, students and their families learnt about recent developments at the College direct from President Gast, and alumni discussed how an Irish network could be developed.

Wednesday 25 May saw around 70 alumni and friends of Imperial meet President Gast and members of the Imperial team in Palo Alto. The event took place at IDEO, a global design and innovation company, led by alumnus David Webster (DIC Mechanical Engineering 1993).

In January alumni and friends of the College gathered in Kuala Lumpur to meet Imperial's President Alice Gast. Romawati Abdul Rahman (MSc Earth Science & Engineering 2009) said, “I came tonight because of the great company! I like to be able to establish connections with likeminded people here in Malaysia, and it gives me a sense of belonging."
