The Imperial College Fencing Club is one of the oldest and most successful sports clubs at Imperial and is now pleased to welcome alumni members. Members are able to make use of the Club's excellent facilities and fencing equipment, with twice-weekly sessions in the South Kensington Campus. Their excellent men's and women's teams achieve consistent success at national and international levels.

Holland Club Darts Team

Darts players of all standards needed to play for the Holland Club RS team!

The Club is based at the Rising Sun pub near Victoria, with opposition teams dotted around the City. Matches are on Wednesday evenings starting between 18.30 and 19.00, and are seasonally played between October and March. We take a friendly approach – drinks first and a win's a bonus! Food will also be provided.

If interested, please contact Chris Mountier on chris.mountier81@alumni.imperial.ac.uk as we are short of players. We need you!

History

Until about six years ago the Holland Club was a College bar, residing where the H-Bar is now situated, for technical and non-academic staff (and others!). On a social basis, I started a darts team within the Club in 1988, which participated in local leagues and continued to operate from within the Club until its closure in December 2012. The team then relocated to a relatively local pub, the Rising Sun near Victoria, where it now operates under the name 'Holland Club RS'. The team recently celebrated its 30th anniversary! The team consists of College staff and ex-staff members, alumni and other folks linked to Albertopolis. Since the closure of the Holland Club and the team's relocation, however, it has had difficulty in recruiting new players from within the College.
