The Council (1998 - )

The Council of Imperial College London was created in 1998 when the College received its new Charter. At this time the Governing Body was replaced by a Court and Council. The Council includes the Rector, Deputy Rector and six members of senior College staff along with 9 lay members.. The Council appoints committees to help in the management of specific functions of the college.
