Department of Mechanical Engineering (1913 - )

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London was established in 1913. Mechanical engineering had been taught since 1884 at the Central Institution of the City and Guilds of London Institute, which subsequently became the City and Guilds College of Imperial College London

The department of Management Science was part of the Mechanical Engineering Departent before its creation as a separate department.
