Centre for Energy Policy and Technology

Research in Energy Policy and Technology is undertaken under the auspices of
the Imperial College London Centre for Energy Policy and Technology. ICEPT's
mission is to carry out research at the energy-environment technology/policy
interface and to provide intellectual leadership as well as dispassionate
advice to a range of stakeholders. It has a hub of staff and postgraduates
based in the Department of Environmental Science and Technology, as well as
members in several other Departments across the College. Its research
activity draws on insights from the engineering and resource management
sciences on methods of energy production and use; from the physical sciences
on sources of energy-related pollution and consequent effects on health and
the environment; and from the economic and social sciences on energy and
environmental policy strategies and instruments.
