Volunteer as a Tutor with The Access Project, one hour a week online, to support disadvantaged young people aged 14-18 with their academic studies. 

Our Outreach team launched a partnership this year with nationwide Education Charity, The Access Project to support disadvantaged young people aged 14-18 studying at Wood Green Academy in the West Midlands. The project helps young people to see university within their reach and supports them in making competitive applications so they attain the grades needed to fulfil their potential.  Read about how The Access Project supported Nadia who is currently a third year medicine student at Imperial College London

Opportunities available from December 2020.

  • Support a young person in a school subject to achieve the GCSE / A-level grades they deserve and to fulfill their potential
  • Inspire, motivate and raise aspirations towards further education & the world of work
  • Students supported by The Access Project typically achieve a grade higher at GCSE and are four times more likely than their peers to progress to a top-third ranked university.
  • No prior experience necessary, full training included over autumn with start dates throughout the autumn term.
