Students will work in groups within each engineering themed session as they explore some of the following engineering disciplines available at Imperial:
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Bio-engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computing
- Design Engineering
- Earth Sciences Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Supported by undergraduate mentors, students will tackle challenges across engineering utilising their knowledge of maths, physics, chemistry and biology to learn how engineers use their scientific knowledge to develop solutions to real world problems.
The course is non-residential and will give students an insight into university life. Students will be part of a small cohort and will have the opportunity to build links with fellow participants through the summer school. At the end of the week there will be a showcase where each group will present an engineering concept they learned during the week to their peers, leaders, family, friends and invited guests.
