Digital Image Correlation (DIC) is used to perform motion and deformation analysis, using a computed 3D coordinate system recorded from a multi-camera system.  Interperation of the coordinate system over a period of time can derive measurements for displacements, velocities, accelerations, and surface strain for a sample or system.

ARAMIS adjustable camera

The Test Suite uses a GOM ARAMIS 5M adjustable system, capable of analysing, calculating, and documenting deformations.
