Getting into Talks
In order to prioritise the safety of its staff, students, and visitors, Imperial has announced that it will focus on delivering a multi-mode approach for the acadmic year 2020 - 2021, bringing together on-campus and online teaching and assessment.
During the autumn and spring terms, the Careers Service hosts a series of "Getting into Talks", covering specific industries, skills and occupations. For the acadmic year 2020 - 2021 these will all be held as online webinars.
Getting into talks are information giving sessions rather than recruitment centred, so we welcome generalised presentations, although some mention of your organisation is acceptable. The objective of the talk should be to give an insight into different types of careers, and ideally should be fairly general to the sector. It should describe the type of jobs/sectors available, typical career progression, future developments, etc. Students are also always very interested in the qualities that employers are looking for, and how to prepare for selection events.
The talks are open to all Imperial students, so it is anticipated that students from a wide range of subjects and years will attend - including postgraduates. The Careers Service uses an online booking system for all Careers run events, so we can let you know likely attendance beforehand.
For further information and to book a place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call +44 (0)20 7594 8024. There is no cost associated with these events.
The talks programme is arranged from May onwards, please see our Online Events Terms & Conditions.
