Practice/Mock Interviews

Mock Interview appointments with a Careers Consultant last for 40 minutes and are to help you with your interview technique.

When you have an interview for an opportunity, you can book a Practise/Mock interivew by filling a mock interview form and send this together with a CV by emailing or booking in person at the Careers Service reception (Level 5 Sherfield Building), ths will allow the Careers Consultant to better prepare for the appointment. They can use the job title, company and job description to help you identify the questions that could come up in the interview. Your Consultant will discuss these with you, and practise the questions in the 40 minute mock interview. Detailed feedback will be provided which is useful as it is a safe space to practise, but be companies do not always provide you with feedback.

To make the most of your Mock Interview, it is recommended that you revise the interviews information and tips on our website first so that you have covered all of the basics. This will enable our feedback to be of a higher quality and at a higher level.
