Sports Hall development approved

Sports Hall development

Planning consent has been granted for the construction of a sports hall on top of the existing swimming pool on the north side of Prince's Gardens. The overall development cost of the Arup Associates' scheme is £12.5 m which includes a number of residential apartments. Sale or lease of these will contribute to the sports centre element of £9 million. Other funding sources are the Harlington Trust, rationalisation of College sports grounds and an anticipated income stream from the new centre. Fundraising is expected to commence in the near future.
