Chairs
Professor D Anderson, formerly a Professorial Research Fellow in the TH Huxley School of Environment, Earth Science and Engineering, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Energy & Environmental Studies in the TH Huxley School of Environment, Earth Science and Engineering with effect from 1 September 1999.
Dr KE Brown, currently a Visiting Scientist of the Haematology Branch at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in Maryland, USA, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Virology in the Division Investigative Science with effect from 1 March 2000.
Professor PS Freemont, currently Senior Scientist at Imperial Cancer Research Fund, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Protein Crystallography in the new Centre for Structural Biology with effect from 1 January 2000.
Dr MB Graeber, currently Senior Staff Scientist and Head of Molecular Neuropathology Department at Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, Germany, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Neuropathology in the Division of Neuroscience and Psychological Medicine with effect from 3 January 2000.
Dr B Hurwitz, formerly Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of Research in Primary Health Care and General Practice in the Division of Primary Health Care and Population Health Sciences, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Primary Health Care and General Practice in the same Division with effect from 14 June 1999.
Dr H Nagase, formerly Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Kansas Medical Center, USA, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Matrix Biology in the Division of Medicine with effect from 1 July 1999.
Professor DA Nethercot, formerly Professor of Civil Engineering at University of Nottingham, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Civil Engineering with effect from 1 October 1999.
Dr MG Parker, currently Senior Staff Scientist in the Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology at Imperial Cancer Research Fund, has accepted appointment to the Chair of Molecular Endocrinology in the Division of Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and as Director of Research in the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with effect from 1 January 2000.
Dr MC Seabra, formerly Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of the Molecular Genetics Section in the Division of Biomedical Sciences, has accepted appointment to the Chair in Molecular Biology in the Division of Biomedical Sciences with effect from 1 July 1999.
Readers
Dr AF Hill, formerly a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, has accepted appointment to the Readership in Inorganic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry with effect from 1 October 1999.
Dr R Hill, formerly Senior Lecturer in the School of Materials Science and Physics at the University of Limerick, has accepted appointment to the Readership in Biomaterials in the Department of Materials with effect from 1 October 1999.
Dr A Mathie, formerly Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology, University College London, has accepted appointment as Reader in Biophysics (Molecular Neuroscience) in the Department of Physics with effect from 1 October 1999.
