Academic Promotions 2002 at Imperial College London

1 October 2002

Imperial College London today announces the conferment of title on 30 new Professors and 48 new Readers, and promotion to 31 new Senior Lecturers and four new Research Assistants (Grade III) with effect from 1 October 2002.

The complete list of 113 promotions is the result of the Colleges annual Academic Promotions exercise.

In October 2001 Imperial began a programme of raising the minimum salaries for all academic staff. From 1 October 2002 basic minimum salaries for Professors, Readers, Senior Lecturers currently stand at:

  • Professor £45,000
  • Reader and Senior Lecturer - £35,249
