From punk to podium

FROM punk to podium - 25-year old Chris Sweeney swaps snarling with band The Dead Pets for conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in front of 1,500 people in the last episode of Channel 4's Faking It next month.


Richard Dickins, Imperial director of music who conducts Imperial College Symphony Orchestra featuring soloist Raphael Wallfisch on 6 December, spent a month tutoring the would- be conductor with amazing results.
