Primary care workers at the west London ‘coal face’ meet to choose their future research directions
28 May 1999
PRESS INVITATION
Journalists are invited to attend the second annual conference on Thursday 3 June of the West London Research Network (WeLReN). WeLReN is a Primary Care based Research Network which spans four Health Authority areas in west London.
General practitioners, practice nurses, practice managers and other primary care team members from west London will meet with representatives from health authorities, education boards, universities, hospital and community trusts, on Thursday 3 June at Northwick Park Hospital to set a research agenda for west London primary care for the next year. The network is being funded by the Department of Health for three years and has attracted significant interest.
In the morning ongoing work will be presented by the groups, and will be followed by a number of keynote speeches.
The afternoon session will see conference participants debate the future research priorities for primary care groups. This will be done in a very interactive way to ensure maximum involvement.
