Pupils, pictured right in labs analysing the results from their plasmid digest experiments, encountered at first hand scientific research in practice, while undertaking their own experiments in an event hosted by Professor Andrew Miller, Dr Wendy Walker and the GTC team.

The centre is working with the schools to pioneer a new kind of partnership between Britain and Japan through which young people experience science as a real life challenge and Anglo-Japanese cultural bridge.

The UK-Japan Science, Creativity and the Young Mind pilot is supported by the Embassy of Japan and is facilitated by Clifton Scientific Trust. Presentations took part at the Japanese school in front of representatives from the Embassy of Japan, JSPS and EPSRC.
