Sue's champagne celebration

SUE Hotckhiss, conference coordinator at Wye campus, has been chosen as catering and conference services' mission champion for April.

Sue, who worked in conferencing at Wye for 15 years, was presented with the award in recognition of ensuring the success of the recent LEAD training courses.

Her nomination read: "Sue's hard work, flexibility, patience and expertise ensured that all Wye staff were able to get the right service in the right place at the right time, and to considerable acclaim and lasting organisational benefit."

Sue received a bottle of champagne and a certificate from Jeff Waage, provost of Wye campus, and will now be entered for the Champion of Champions annual award with the first prize of a weekend break in a European city, won in 2002 by Vera Pain, another member of the conference team at Wye.
