[02/11/12] Professor Serafim Kalliadasis together with Professor Uwe Thiele (Loughborough University),  Professor Detlef Lohse (University of Twente) and Professor Howard Stone (Princeton University) organised an international focus workshop at the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Complex Systems (MPIPKS) in Dresden on October 28th through to November 1st 2012.
The event brought together 70 mathematicians, natural scientists and engineers from 25 countries of Europe, Asia and the Americas, all of whom are experts in the field, with the aim to present and discuss recent advances in subjects related to the flow of complex liquids in situations where interfaces play an important role. The work shop was supported by the MPIPKS following a successful submission and evaluation of a proposal and by EU-ITN “Multiflow”. It consisted of scientific talks, an evening poster session and time for informal discussions. Participants reported on the latest experiments, theoretical advances and technological applications.  More information at the workshop homepage.
