Staff at all levels are required to undergo some health and safety training.  The amount of training depends upon their role, as described below.

Day one safety induction

All new staff and PhD students as well as visiting staff, occasional and UROP students, work experience students and students from other departments undertaking project work in Computing must receive a Day One Safety Induction before they can be issued with a swipe card.

Undergraduate and MSc students who start at the beginning of the Autumn term attend a lecture on health and safety. Staff and students who start throughout the year receive an individual Day One Induction. Read the College guidance on safety inductions.

Month one safety training

MOST is a mandatory on-line course for every new member of staff joining the College and who will work for the College for longer than one month - including those re-joining the College. Shortly after receiving your College login, you should receive an automated email notifying you of enrolment onto the course.
