Prof. Willy Sansen

Prof. Willy Sansen has an MSc Degree from the K.U.Leuven and a PhD degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1972. Since 1980 he has been full professor at the Catholic University of Leuven, in Belgium, where he has headed the ESAT-MICAS laboratory on analogue design since 1984. He is also a visiting professor with Imperial College’s Centre for Continuing Professional Development delivering courses for professional engineers.

 He has been supervisor of sixty-three PhD theses and has authored and co-authored more than 635 publications and sixteen books, among which “Analog Design Essentials” (Springer 2008). He is a Fellow of the IEEE. He was program chair of the ISSCC-2002 conference and is now Past-President of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits. Since his retirement, he regularly deliver training for electrical and electronic engineers all around the world in analogue electronics.
