Project title: Creating pulses of light with high purity and large entanglement

The aim of this project is to generate highly squeezed, spectrally pure quantum light. To do so, I’m designing and testing a novel light source based on cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down conversion driven by a pulsed pump laser. These methods are expected to enable advances in quantum photonics and optical quantum information, including applications in cryptography, sensing, and simulation.
