Study With Us
The Dyson School of Design Engineering offers three separate programmes in design engineering; one at undergraduate level (MEng), and two at postgraduate level (MA/MSc) in collaboration with the Royal College of Art. We also invite applications for research leading to the PhD degree in any of our key focus areas.
Design Engineering (MEng)
The MEng in Design Engineering will focus on the design of advanced products, services, experiences and systems across the breadth of engineering fields currently taught at Imperial. The programme will deliver this through a combination of taught modules, project-based work and industrial interaction.
Innovation Design Engineering (MA/MSc)
The Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) programme is a leading-edge, creative product development course, which involves experimentation, design, engineering and enterprise activities. Emphasis is placed on generating imaginative ideas, and on testing prototypes through three-dimensional modelling and feedback from potential users, design and other experts.
Global Innovation Design (MA/MSc)
The Global Innovation Design (GID) programme is a world-class design collaboration between four internationally-renowned academic institutions. Each partner brings distinct expertise and complementary approaches to design, engineering, technology and business with an emphasis on internationally-oriented design and innovation.
Postgraduate Research (PhD)
As a PhD student, you will be joining a critical mass of world-leading researchers who share ideas, expertise and technology to tackle global challenges. Research in the Dyson School of Design Engineering is focused in three areas: human factors and industrial design, engineering product development, and autonomous systems and manufacturing.
