Christian visits the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin (Peru)

unsa1Christian was invited to visit the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin in Arequipa, one of the oldest and most research active universities in Peru and where he is co-I on the implementation of a Seismic Simulation Lab. During his visit, Christian gave a series of seminars and talks and strengthened the ongoing collaboration on the use of low-cost sensing technologies for improving the seismic resilience of infrastructure in Peru.  A short-course on the Non-linear Analysis of Structures was also delivered by Fernando Sirumbal, a former member of the EmergingStructTech Lab who is now working in Lima – Peru. This visit also served to establish a new collaboration on the use of low-cost 3D printing tailored to the needs of developing countries. You can find the official  note (in Spanish) here.
