IRG04 entered both Formula Student 2010 and 2011 the team’s aims was reliability and performance, with the power coming from 504 cells packaged in bespoke battery modules designed and manufactured by the team.

In addition, the two DC electric motors provide mechanically independent rear wheel drive. The car is separated into 6 core areas: suspension and steering, transmission and brakes, chassis and motors, batteries and electrical systems, driver environment and control, allowing team members to gain specific automotive expertise. Team members designed and manufacturde components in house while ensuring the common standards and vision of the car are met.
