Yu GongI took the 2017-2018 Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc course, and had a really great time here. Moving to the UK to study was a big step, but I quickly felt at home and the staff team helped me make the most of my studies. The course stimulated my interest in engineering and gave me an opportunity to interact with amazing people from different parts of the world. One of my proudest moments was to produce an article on my master project for the 8th European Combustion Meeting.

The MSc course enabled me to test and stretch my skills, and I became almost fearless to stepping into new fields, knowing that I have the ability to learn and tackling problems. After having completed the course, I further my study at Imperial as a PhD candidate, continuing my research on Computation Fluid Dynamics. The knowledge and effective academic habits I gained from my master courses get me better prepared for my current work, and such profound influence continues. Regarding next steps, I plan to continue my research work in the academic field.
