FAQ's

Can I discuss educational ideas before attending an ABC workshop?

Yes, we are happy to provide one on one discussions to help you develop ideas prior to attending a workshop.

Can I just have some work done on my module without engaging with your process?

To maintain the quality of our work and ensure developments are pedagogically effective we work with teams who engage with the process laid out on this website.

How much time will engaging with your process take?

It depends on how much work is needed to be done on the module in question. As a guide, it could be as little as two phone conversations and a 90 minute workshop. We appreciate that staff are busy with time commitments and we aim to be as flexible engaging with colleagues as possible.

I have found a software app I would like to use on my module, can you help me to incorporate it?

As a team, we are always interested in looking at new software and would be happy to discuss if and how it could be incorporated in your module.

What software tools are available to use in my module?

There are many tools that could be possibly used on a module. Two examples that are commonly used are:

  • Blackboard quizzes:  allow students to check their understanding of a topic before they come into the next face to face teaching session.
  • Panopto: Record lecture sessions for students to watch or review later.

We are happy to arrange an informal chat with staff with which we could advise on these two or other tools that maybe applicable for your modules.
