The Techcelerate progamme provides a programme of intense market assessment to test out and develop a business idea. Selected researchers receive financial support to get out of the lab and validate their research ideas in the marketplace. Participants engage with prospective customers, regulators, suppliers, partners and competitors to discover the commercial potential of their research.

The programme uses an evidence-based approach that enables participants to form and test their hypothetical business models, and ensure a close fit between their technology and market needs.

Throughout the programme, teams have access to resources to enable them to conduct customer discovery for their envisaged technology, product or idea. 

At the end of the programme, selected participants present their findings to a panel of experts and investors, with the possibility of gaining investment and follow-on funding.
