Decision Framing & Uncertainty Network Workshop:

What do Decision Makers want from the Analytical Community?

INTENT

Building on the successful workshop held in February 2016 (see also Decision Making Under Risk and Uncertainty - White Paper.pdf), The Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP) at Imperial College London has teamed up with specialists from Warwick University, London School of Economics, Lancaster University, E3G, UK Government and Atkins and is hosting a workshop to develop a better understanding as to what Decision Makers want from the Analytical Community to make better decisions under uncertainty. The workshop will form the basis of an ongoing network which will seek to build a value proposition around Decision Makers and the User Community. Attendance at the workshop will assist in the shaping of that value proposition.

Participatory Simulations to explore decision making under risk and uncertainty:

• Emergency response decision making

• Investment horizon decision making under policy (Brexit) uncertainty

• Investment horizon decision making using scenario tools

Panel Session to understand what decision makers really want from the analytical community

 OUTCOMES

The confirmed specialists attending are from the following domains and disciplines: Expert Judgement, Psychology, Statistics, Decision Science, Communications, as well as a number of decisionmakers from government, industry and policy. Please RSVP here.
