Maria is a Chartered Physiotherapist with first class honours from Brunel University. She is also a highly experienced Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, trained in a wide variety of soft tissue techniques with the goal of optimising well-being, sports performance and injury rehabilitation. This enables a unique combined approach utilising both physiotherapy and focused massage treatment.
Maria is experienced at treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Treatment is based on the latest research, to provide effective rehabilitation and promote a sustained improvement in function, sporting performance and quality of life. Treatment focus is on achieving results for patients, in helping to alleviate pain, increase movement and a return to optimal wellbeing.
Maria was proud to be selected to provide treatment at the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. She is experienced at working with a range of different athletes particularly runners, cyclists, triathletes, and rowers among others.
Maria is a fully qualified Sports First Aider and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Sports Massage Association and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Physiotherapy Following assessment and diagnosis, a comprehensive rehabilitation plan will be designed including; exercise therapy, manual therapy, advice and education on contributing factors and self-management. As your condition improves, treatment will be progressed to ensure maximum benefit.
