Pelvic Floor model

To celebrate Women@Imperial week and following the popularity of our previous pelvic floor workshops, the Faculty of Engineering departments are pleased to announce that we are running the pelvic floor workshop again on 2 March 2020.

Come and join us for a fun, relaxed and very informative talk about you and your Pelvic Floor. Register now to avoid disappointment.

Baz Moffat is running a workshop for women who are interested to find out more about their pelvic floor. It will be of relevance to every woman at every life stage, not just mothers.

The talk will go far beyond squeeze and lift, and you will learn about how to get the pelvic floor to do its job properly – so that you can be healthy, active and fit. So that for years to come you’ve got a solid, strong and dependable body which does not let you down when you jump, laugh or sneeze and help you to be confident in the workplace!

There will be some practical at the end (so best not to wear skirts / dresses that day, but full on active wear is not required), so that you can walk out of the session knowing how to connect with your pelvic floor and co-ordinate with the rest of your core. Yoga mats will be provided.

All women with a pelvic floor welcome.

Feedback from November workshop:

“It was good to see how passionate Baz was. I’m very grateful for the wake-up call she issued to us all and for bringing this sort of taboo subject out at Imperial.”

“Thank you for the excellent Pelvic Floor Workshop. Thank you for supporting women’s health, we tend to ignore it unless prompted.”

“I came back to my office recommending all my female staff to attend this workshop! This is so important and well done for organising this meeting. We need to talk more about women’s health, so many women suffer, feel uncomfortable and unable to speak about their problems”
