What is the event about?

We are thrilled that the organisers of London Tech Week have chosen to spotlight local start-up heroes, pioneers & innovators in Hammersmith & Fulham’s thriving ecosystem as part of LTW’s Borough Day! This year, Upstream is partnering with the *Deep Tech Network to showcase a selection of Hammersmith & Fulham’s most innovative organisations who are making an impact in the world within deep tech and beyond.

We’re convening leading minds to celebrate and showcase the groundbreaking innovations from startups, academia & industry, who are using technology and science to solve the global challenges that face our planet. Join us for a series of inspirational, punchy speeches, followed by live q&a.

What is the Deep Tech Network?

The Deep Tech Network is organised between Upstream and Imperial’s Department of Chemistry and Enterprise Division with the intention of encouraging interaction and collaboration between business and Imperial’s researchers, and developing a deep-tech innovation ecosystem around Imperial’s White City Campus.

Who is this event for?

This showcase is for tech, science or engineering businesses, academics or startups working to improve our world and those who want to learn more about H&F’s thriving tech and life-sciences ecosystem.

Who are the organisations and speakers?

  • Rebecca Alade (Gamma Delta) – Rebecca is Senior Scientist and team lead at Gamma Delta Therapeutics.
  • Hilary Aylesworth (Arbor Education) – Hilary is Head of Product at Arbor Education, the fastest-growing Management Information System (MIS) today.
  • Professor Anthony Bull (Imperial College London) – Prof. Bull is the Head of Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London.
  • Aingaran Pillai (Zaizi) – Aingaran is CEO and Founder of Zaizi, an award-winning global open source consultancy.
  • Georgina Owens (Liberis) – Georgina Owens is CTO of Liberis, a leading global provider of embedded business finance.
  • Cylon – CyLon’s mission is to support the cyber security startups and entrepreneurs building the secure foundations of our future digital economy.
