Almost done with four years of Bioengineering @ Imperial and…. (tempted to finish this sentence with “I’m still alive”) have also been writing music since I was 10. I started learning eastern classical music at the age of four and playing guitar at 13. Over the years, I fell in love with many genres and tried to convey all my coming of age conundrums through carefully and carelessly constructed melodies and lyrics. I play gigs and open mics around London solo & with others whenever I get the chance. In awe with everything that is happening inside and around all of us – and I hope to express that through science and art (yes that implies combining the two). Recording a few tracks at the moment for an upcoming acoustic EP + working on a few behind the scenes electronic projects. My final year project is modelling the neural processing that goes on in our auditory system in response to speech signals - so I’m a bit obsessed with sound and perception. Twitter: @amnaaskari.
