Please note, for the Commemoration Day Ceremonies on the 18 October, ticketing has now closed.  There are no further tickets available.

Guest Tickets

Guest tickets were £35 each. This includes entry to both the ceremony in the Royal Albert Hall and a departmental reception held on campus after the ceremony.

Additional Guest Tickets

As ticketing has now closed there are no additional guest tickets available for the ceremony and receptions.

Purchasing Guest Tickets On The Day

There will be a limited number of ceremony only tickets available to purchase on the day. This does not include access to the departmental receptions held on campus following the ceremony due to capacity restrictions.

Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and will be sold from the Royal Albert Hall Box Office from 09:00 (located at Door 12.)

We can only sell tickets directly to the graduating student. Graduands must have their student ID card (or another form of photographic ID) to purchase the tickets. We cannot sell tickets directly to guests without the presence of the graduating student.

Please note that these tickets cost £20 each and only cash can be accepted.  Please note this ticket will only be for the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.

In order to gain a refund, please return your ceremony and departmental reception tickets to the Graduation team by Friday 6 October 2017. We cannot process any refunds without being in possession of the tickets that you wish to cancel.

Ceremony Seating

Seats are allocated in advance for both graduands and guests in separate areas of the Royal Albert Hall. Your ticket will identify your seat by door, area, row and seat number. You will not be seated with your guests. Please ensure you sit in your assigned seat, as occupying the wrong seat will disrupt the presentations.

If you have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to contact the Graduation team by emailing

Children and Babies

Graduation ceremonies are formal occasions and as such may not be suitable for young children. Any children over two (other than babies in arms) must have their own seat inside the graduation hall/venue and a ticket must be purchased for them when purchasing all other guest tickets.
