The Centre’s primary sources of funding are from Hamlyn Endowment, government research councils, research charities, and industry. For corporate sponsors, the Centre provides a unique opportunity to bring their business challenges to an academic research environment, to assess the innovative solutions of our research team.

To provide long-term support to the interdisciplinary research team and core research programmes of the Centre, we need your support in raising dedicated funds to cover the following in areas of imaging, sensing, and robotics:

  • Endowed Chairs
  • Advanced fellowships
  • PhD fellowships
  • MRes studentships
  • International fellowship for faculty and student exchange programmes

Clinical and research laboratories

The engineering and clinical research laboratories of the Centre house the specialist equipment and facilities required to drive forward research and development. Essential to this process will be mechatronics, imaging, micro-nano engineering, biophotonics and biomedical research laboratories, together with dedicated high-performance computing, human-robot interaction, simulation and modelling suites for the Centre.

Public engagement

The Centre will support high-quality public engagement in science and seeks to motivate and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and technologists, promoting the development of UK medical sciences and engineering. In 2015, the Centre exhibited at the 2015 Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition.

Please contact Miss Raphaele Raupp (r.raupp@imperial.ac.uk) if you would like to support our research through donating to our endowment fund.
