About Us
Imperial Hazelab is the research group of Prof Guillermo Rein at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. We study heat transfer, combustion and fire science. The purpose of our work is to reduce the worldwide burden of accidental fires and protect people, their property, and the environment. In doing so, we aim to solve fire problems and threats to the environment, energy resources and infrastructure. We are especially successful at solving multidisciplinary problems combining experimental and computational methods.
