Who can take part in the staff survey?

To gather accurate feedback from staff affiliated to the College, we are asking all those who work more than one day a week to complete the survey. 

Staff who joined the College after 31 December 2018 will not be invited to complete the survey as they have not been at the College for long enough.

Additional support is available for staff with disabilities, for instance, larger font versions and completion of the survey over the phone direct with ORC International.

Is it compulsory to take part?

No - participation is voluntary.

What topics will the survey cover?

The survey will look at key aspects of your experience at the College such as your role, your development, communications, your line manager and your perceptions. 

How long does the survey take to complete?

As a guide, the survey should take around 15‐20 minutes to complete. 

How do I take part in the staff survey?

You will receive an email to your work address containing  a unique link to access the survey online.  

What do I do if I haven’t received my survey invite?

If you notice that you have not recieved your invite when the survey opens please contact the ORC Customercare team directly at  ORC will confirm eligibility and then send you a survey link.

What devices can I use to complete the survey?

The survey is accessible from mobile devices such as smartphones and tables, as well as from a PC or MAC.

Do I have to complete the online survey all in one go?

We recommend that you complete the survey in one sitting if possible, but you can keep coming back to it as many times as you wish.  Your survey responses are saved each time you exit the survey, so you can pick up where you left off by clicking the survey link 

What do I need to do if I require the survey in a different format?

If you need access to the survey in a specific format, for example a large print format or to complete the survey over the phone, please contact the ORC Customercare team directly at

Who should I contact if I have a query about the survey or need help completing it?

The ORC Customercare team can be contacted on  The helpdesk is there to answer any queries you may have about taking part in the survey or about why and how it is being carried out.  ORC International will try to answer telephone queries immediately, but if they need to confirm anything they will get back to you within 24 hours.  All calls are treated in the strictest confidence and no calls are recorded.
