This chart shows the gender split when we order hourly rate of pay from highest to lowest and group into four equal quartiles.

Women are under-represented in the upper quartile, although there has been a small shift, with a higher proportion of women represented in the upper-middle and upper quartiles compared to 2019.

  • Upper middle quartile: 1,152 women (45.6%), 1,372 men (54.4%)
  • Lower middle quartile: 1,266 women (50.2%), 1,258 men (49.8%)
  • Lower quartile: 1,260 women (49.9%), 1,264 men (50.1%)
