Summer Party 2015

The Social Committee is always looking for exciting events for staff.

The Support Services Committee organised the termly visit to see a West End show on Wednesday 17 October 2018 to see ‘Everybody’s Talking about Jamie’ at the Apollo Theatre.  33 staff enjoyed a fantastic show costing just £22.50 each on a group discount rate. A review by an attendee is below:

Everybody’s talking about Jamieis a musical set in Sheffield that focuses on a teenager called Jamie New who doesn’t quite fit in. The production begins with Jamie being teased about his homosexuality and him announcing that he wants a career as a Drag Queen. The story follows Jamie’s journey in breaking down stereotypes, confronting his absent father and bullies, and his ups and downs in becoming who he wants to be … a sensation!

With a fantastic soundtrack, hilarious script and some incredibly high red stilettos this musical celebrates overcoming prejudice and embracing exactly who you are. This feel-good, funny and fabulous show about Jamie stepping into the spotlight is a must see that will not disappoint!
