An afternoon tea style networking event took place on 19th October for new starters in Support Services roles.  This was the first event of its kind organised by the Support Services Social Committee to get new starters together to meet one another and share experiences of their first few weeks and months at Imperial.

The session started with introductions from Committee members and a run through of forthcoming social activities.  Attendees were then asked to complete two tasks to get them talking.  The first was to write on post-it notes their first impressions of the College in terms of what we do well and not so well.  They were then asked to note down their ideas for future social events that they would be interested in attending.

Claire Kidd, Development Manager for the Faculty of Engineering said, “it was nice to meet a few people from different parts of the College in an informal, relaxed setting and good to hear about some of the social activities taking place here”

Due to its success and the great turnout this event will now be run on a termly basis.
