Iñaki Estella received his Engineering Degree and M.Sc. in Telecommunications from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from Imperial College London in 2014. He has been visiting scholar at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e) and in the Wireless Systems Lab at Stanford University. He has also been research assistant at Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) in Barcelona. In November 2014, he joined the Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab, France Research Center, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. In Paris, France.

His primary research interests are in the field of communication theory and information theory, and its applications to wireless communication systems, with special emphasis on joint source-channel coding and cooperative communications.
