Dr Andres Parra Puerto

In 2015 Andres received a PhD degree in Chemistry by the University of Barcelona based on photoelectrochemical systems for CO2 reduction to solar fuels. He has a broad experience in synthesis and materials processing (nanoscale and nanoporous materials, nanoparticles, organometallic compounds) and setup of electrochemical systems (electrochemical flow cells and photoelectrochemical cells). He also has extensive abilities in structural characterization (SEM, TEM, XRD, NMR) of materials and electrochemical and photoelectrochemical setups and methods. Now his work is based on anode catalyst development and for microbial-less waste water fuel cells and autonomous system for cancer detection using passive direct methanol fuel cells.
